Terms of Clearance:
In the last ICR, OSHA estimated that the burden for this collection would drop to 16,222 hours after the first year. Instead, OSHA has increased its burden estimate to 36,688 hours. This is the result of corrected calculation errors in the previous ICR and re-estimations by the Agency._OMB applauds OSHA on its efforts to develop a more accurate burden estimate and encourages the Agency to revisit other paperworks to verify that all burden is correctly identified and calculated.

The collections of information required from employers by OSHA are necessary to reduce employee injuries and fatalities associated with cargo lifting gear, transfer of vehicular cargo, manual cargo handling, and exposure to hazardous atmospheres.
