Abstract:
OSM and State regulatory authorities use the information collect- ed under 30 CFR Part 761 to ensure that persons planning to con- duct surface coal mining operations on the lands protected by subsection 522(e) of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 have the right to do so under one of the exemptions or waivers provided by this section of the Act.
