Abstract:
Interested, qualified state/tribes can assume the federal Clean Water Act Section 404 permit program in certain waters within their jurisdiction. State/tribes must submit specified informa- tion to request program assumption. State/tribal permit applications must contain sufficient information to evaluate the environmental impacts of the proposed project; the information needed for the permit application is based on the information needed to apply for a federal Section 404 permit. States/tribes must prepare an annual report evaluation their program.
