Abstract:
HPMS monitors the effectiveness of Federal-aid programs, assessess the condition, performance, and use of the Nation's streets and highways, provides travel estimates for air quality assessments, provides data for the apportionment of Federal-aid funds, and assesses the National Highway System. HPMS also serves policy decisionmakers, and provides evaluations of alternative investment strategies, estimates of investment needs and general statistical data.
