Abstract:
The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) is a multipurpose survey conducted to comply with the National Center for Health Statistics' (NCHS) mandate under 42 USC 242K to secure statistical information on the amount, distribution, and effects of illness and disability in the US and the service rendered for or because of such conditions.
