During this time, ED will work to establish procedures to collect this information electronically and establish procedures to ensure that the information collected is maintained in a secure manner. When this collection is next approved, OMB will request that ED report approximately 6 months after the next clearance date on the progress in meeting these two goals. Also, the 83i submitted on this request mistakenly requested $106,109,000 in respondent costs. This amount has been removed from this request.

Abstract: Students receiving scholarships under section 204(3) of the Higher Education Act incur a service obligation to teach in a high-need school in a high-need LEA. This information collection consists of a contract to be executed when funds are awarded and a separate teaching verification form to be used by students to document their compliance with the contract's conditions.
