Abstract:
Pursuant to this Report and Order, satellite television providers are required to provide local-into-local signals of broadcast television stations, while electing for compulsory must-carry or retransmission consent status. On September 5, 2001, the Commission released an Order on Reconsideration, FCC 01-249, CS Docket No. 00-96, that denied petitions for reconsideration. In addition, the Commission, on its own motion, clarified some of the requirements in its earlier Report and Order, CS Docket Nos. 99-363, 00-96, FCC 00-417 (released November 30, 2000) and amended the satellite broadcast signal...
