This collection is approved with the responses received from NCES on 12/9/2005 for the 2006 Field Test only. ED shall resubmit this collection to OMB with a notice in the Federal Register allowing 30 days for public comment (OMB waives the 60 day FR notice) along with an update on the results of the field test and any changes in methodology or questionnaire content for the 2007 full-scale survey.

Abstract:
NHES: 2005 is a survey of households using random-digit-dialing and computer-assisted telephone interviewing. Three topical surveys are to be conducted in NHES: 2007 School Readiness (SR, Parent and Family Involvement in Education (PFI), and Adult Education for Work-Related Reasons (AEWR). The surveys' results will support cross-sectional analyses and the analyses of changes over time.
