Terms of Clearance:
Approval is granted for the incentive plan as updated in a 4/12/06 email from Dr. Mosher. NCHS shall report to OMB via email or in person the results of the incentive experiments as well as discuss changes needed over the clearance period. Questionnaire changes as described in the 4/12/06 email related to questions on welfare are approved. Approval is granted for the 333 hours planned for testing new questions. NCHS shall request approval for those small studies via submission of an 83-C that documents the burden hours requested and the questions being tested. Approval is granted to continue asking respondents who report multiple races to indicate the primary race they identify with. NCHS shall report to OMB via email or in person results of this variance and the use of these data in research bridging race data.

Abstract:
The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) will be conducted by personal interview among a sample of approximately 4,000 men and women annually. Data will be collected on pregnancy, contraception, parenting, and related attitudes. The information is used by NCHS, the NICHD, the Office of Population Affairs, OASPE, the Children's Bureau, the CDC HIV Prevention Program, and the CDC Division of Reproductive Health.
