Abstract:
The purpose of this Standard and its information collection requirements is to provide protection for employees from adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to MDA. Employers must monitor exposure, keep employee exposures within the permissible exposure limits, provide employees with medical examinations and training, and establish and maintain employee exposure-monitoring and medical records.

Short Statement:
The Agency is requesting an adjustment decrease of two hours from 1,609 to 1,607 hours. The two-hour decrease is the result of decreasing the number of employers submitting records (from three sets of records to one set of records) to NIOSH under Transfer of records (§1926.60(o)(8)). There is a decrease in capital costs of $25.00 (from $80,437 to $80,412) as a result of reducing the number of records being transferred to the National Institutes of Safety and Occupational Health (NIOSH), resulting in a cost reduction of $25.00 (from $37.00 to $12.00). However, due to rounding of the previously approved burden costs, a net increase of $412 dollars is recorded.
