Abstract:
The Alternative Fuel Rule establishes uniform labeling requirements for consumer disclosure for alternative fuels and alternative fueled vehicles. The Rule also requires affected entities to keep records to show compliance with the Rule.

Short Statement:
Staffs increased estimate of burden hours (with a corollary rise in associated labor costs) is due to a rise in the estimated number of alternative fueled vehicles (AFVs) on the market and in the number of affected entities, and not a function of increased burden per entity. Similarly, its increased estimate of non-labor cost burden is attributable to an increase in the number of retailers, fuel dispensers, and AFVs since staffs prior PRA submission three years ago.
