Abstract:
This survey is the only source for cotton ginnings which are needed by the USDA to prepare monthly and annual cotton production estimates and production cost estimates. Data are used by the cotton industry and are vital in providing a stable market.

The annual burden for Cotton Ginnings is estimated to be 825 hours, down 15 hours from the current inventory of 840. This is due to the declining number of ginning operations more than off-setting the specific additional allowance for the advance letter, record book, and Web instruction sheet.
