Abstract:
The purposes of this data collection are to generate biennial data on the total number of private schools, teachers, and students; and to build an NCES frame of private schools to serve as a sampling frame for NCES surveys that include private schools. This survey is an ongoing project to improve NCES universe and sample data on private schools.

This is a reinstatement of hours. Although this is an increase, the 2007-2008 is somewhat less than the previous PSS. The completion time of 20 minutes has been decreased to 18 minutes/response.
