Short Statement: The increase in hours is a result six additional lines to the FISAP. Due to the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (HERA), P.L. 109-171, two lines are added in Part II, Section E to report any Academic Competitive Grant and SMART Grant expenditures. Two lines are added to Part II for schools to report Perkins loan cancellations for surviving spouses of public service victims of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, and two additional lines are added for schools to report any other adjustments to debits or credits that are not already reported. Last, the estimated number of schools is lower than previously reported.
