Terms of Clearance: Approved consistent with the following terms of clearance. Approved for one year during which time OMB strongly encourages VA to develop electronic means for respondents to complete and submit the forms associated with this collection. Due to the large number of annual responses providing an electronic system for reporting may significantly decrease the burden on respondents. In the next submission of this collection to OMB VA will specifically address the feasibility of providing an electronic version of forms addressing such issues as the estimated cost, anticipated time savings and a timetable for completing the transition to electronic reporting.

Abstract: VA Forms 21-8960 and 21-8960-1 are used to gather the necessary information to determine continued benefit entitlement to or for a child between the ages of 18 and 23 who is attending school. Without this information, VA would be unable to verify continued entitlement in a timely manner, and increased overpayments would result.
