Abstract:
Annual Reports from foreign-trade zones (FTZs) are required by the FTZ Act (19 U.S.C. 81a-81u). These reports are the only completesource of compiled information on trade activity in FTZs. The reports are used by Congress and the Department to determine the economic effect of the FTZ program; by the FTZ Board and othe other officials to determine whether zone activity is consistent with trade policy and in the public interest; and by the public to evaluate FTZs' effects on their industry sectors.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
