The information obtained in this survey will be used by the Department of Labor, other government agencies, academic researchers, the news media, and the general public to understand the employment experiences and school-to-work transitions of men and women born in the years 1980 to 1984.

Short Statement:
The burden reduction reflects revised expectations of the response rate. Due to cohort attrition, response rates in longitudinal surveys typically decline at least a little in each subsequent round. Based on the experience of prior rounds of the survey, the response rate can be expected to decline slightly in round 11.
