Abstract:
McNair Program grantees must submit the report annually. The report provides the Department of Education with information needed to evaluate a grantee's performance and compliance with program requirements and to award prior experience points in accordance with the program regulations. The data collected is also aggregated to provide national information on project participants and program outcomes.

The total burden hours requested are less because of the budget period of one of the McNair grantees that received a five-year award in an earlier competition, ending September 30, 2005. For the 83-C, the new burden resulted from five additional projects.
