Short Statement: The NRC reviewed the actual number of responses received during the last 3 years and found that the number of forms submitted was lower than previously estimated. An average of 2,188 forms were filed annually, rather than the previous estimate of 3,963 forms, an overall reduction of 1,775 forms. The number of initial submissions decreased from 167 to 140 (a reduction of 27 forms and 14 hours); the number of revisions decreased from 600 to 412 (a reduction of 188 forms and 47 hours); and the number of clarifications decreased from 3,196 to 1,636 (a reduction of 1,560 forms and 390 hours). As a result of the reduction in the estimated number of forms filed annually, the overall burden estimate has decreased from 1,033 to 582 hours, a net reduction of 451 hours.
