Abstract:
To determine if child applicants for Social Security payments are entitled to benefits, SSA must first examine the childs current sources of support. SSA uses Form SSA-783, the Statement Regarding Contributions, to collect information about one-half support and regular/substantial contributions the child applicant is currently receiving, and to evaluate their effect on the childs eligibility for Social Security benefits. The respondents are people who have information about the child applicants current sources of support.
