Abstract:
All boat-based non-commercial fishermen who fish for bottomfish management unit species in the federal waters of the main Hawaiian Islands must obtain a bottomfish fishing permit from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). All vessel owners or operators must submit a logsheet report at the conclusion of every fishing trip. This change request is for minor changes to the logbook form, with no new data required.

The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
