Abstract:
This form is used by beneficiaries and employers to report the number of hours worked in On-The-Job training programs and apprenticeship, and to report terminations of training in such programs. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is authorized to pay education benefits to veterans and other eligible persons pursuing approved on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs under chapter 30, 32, or 35 of title 38, United States Code, chapter 1606 or 1607 of title 10, U.S.C., section 903 of Public Law 96-342, or section 531 of Pub L. 107-314.

The increase in the annual reporting burden is caused by the increase in the number of eligible trainees based on the 2009 Budget Submission and the authorization to pay for on-the-job training and apprenticeship training under additional educational assistance programs.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
