Abstract:
For the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, entitlement communities re required to keep records of activities. These records include definitions of conditions, certifications of activities/plans and other items. This paperwork submission addressed the record keeping and reporting requirements for slum/blight activities and business assistance.

Short Statement:
The requested collection for the CDBG entitlement program collection was increased to 519,822 in 2005 to account for the hours associated with the performance measurement system. In addition, on an annual basis, OBGA receives notification from the Systems Development and Evaluation Division of any potential new entitlement communities that is based on Census data. There has been an average of five new entitlement communities annually over the past few years. Because of the increase in respondents, there is an increase in the number of responses and the burden hours that are required.
