The Current Employment Statistics program provides current monthly statistics on employment, hours, and earnings, by industry. The statistics are fundamental inputs in economic decision processes at all levels of government, private enterprise, and organized labor.

The reduction in burden was due to the elimination of the Gross Monthly Earnings (GME). Respondent burdent was reduced by an average of 1 minute each month. The lowering of the overall respondent burden was slightly offset by a small increase in sample size.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
