Short Statement: The program is requesting approval of an increase in the number of respondents using this application, due to additional funding opportunities provided under the Amercian Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This program change is requested because ARRA has provided additional funds for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program to encourage primary health care clinicians/students to serve in underserved areas. It is estimated that this opportunity under ARRA will result in approximately 2,513 additional respondents annually until September, 2011.
