Qualified persons inspect track and take action to allow safe passage of trains. FRA is amending the Federal Track Safety Standards to improve the inspection of rail joints in continuous welded rail (CWR).

The total burden has increased by 253,283 hours from the previous submission. The increase is the result of both program changes and adjustments.
