Abstract:
This application data will be used to compute the amount of funds needed by each school for the 2010-2011 award year. The Fiscal Operations Report data will be used to assess program effectiveness, account for funds expended during the 2008-2009 award year, and as part of the school funding process. The Reallocation form is part of the FISAP on the web. Schools will use it in the summer to return expended funds for 2008-2009 and request supplemental FWS funds for 2009-2010. Changes being made to this collection due to the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 are: Part III added line items to report loan cancellations for various reasons as stated in the HEOA. Also, lines were added to allow for transfer of Federal Work-Study funds to the Federal Perkins Loan Program, which is now authorized through the HEOA. Part IV was changed to allow for funds to be transferred from the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants Program to be spent in the Federal Work-Study Program. Part V was changed to allow for funds to be transferred from the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants Program to be spend in the Federal Work-Study Program and to allow funds to be transferred from the Federal Work-Study Program to the Federal Perkins Loan Program. Lines were also added to report funds that were spent for disaster-affected students and students who participated in civic education activities.
