OMB commends BJS on a well put together package. OMB does note that in this and in prior BJS collections, collections are not being submitted to OMB well after the 30 day public notice is published, in this case, not until it was expired. In this case, this delay caused some urgency for the review cycle, but this was not communicated to OMB. Rather, OMB asked about given a few suggetions in the text the data collection deadlines were imminent. Therefore, we encourage better coordination between publishing the 30 day notice and OMB submission and we enourage better communication to OMB about scheduling priorities for BJS programs.
