All future Airworthiness Directives (AD) with information collection requirements should include a section with standard Paperwork Reduction Act language: including a burden statement, contact information, the OMB control number, and any applicable privacy statements. Given the nature of AD's, this collection may lend itself to more accurate burden assessment and calculation through the utilization of a generic information collection. Prior to resubmission, FAA should consider conversion of this approved collection into a generic information collection, in consultation with OMB.
