Abstract:
Section 623(k) of the Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 ("1992 Cable Act") requires the Commission to publish an annual statistical report on average rates for basic cable service, cable programming service and equipment. The report must compare the prices charged by cable by systems subject to effective competition and those not subject to effective competition. The price survey is intended to collect data needed to prepare this report.

Short Statement:
The Commission is reporting program changes to the number of annual responses of -26 and -3,188 to the annual burden hours. Also, the estimated time per response has been reduced from 10 hours to 6 hours. These reductions are due to a reduction in the number of respondents and responses to this collection and a shorter and more simplified survey that will take respondents less time to complete. There are no adjustments to this information collection.

$41,939
