Short Statement: The Commission is requesting OMB approval for a revision of this information collection. There is a change in the Commission's burden estimates. See item 15 of the supporting statement for a detailed explanation. The Commission is removing the recordkeeping burden estimate associated in 47 CFR 1.20004. This estimate has been eliminated by 1,655 hours because the nature and extent of the requirement is usual and customary. Telecommunications carriers must keep such records to demonstrate that they are in compliance with Federal and State wiretapping laws and regulations that have existed for the past 40 years.
