Short Statement:
A decrease in burden hours occurred due to a decrease in the number of establishments; thus, a decrease in the number of portable fire extinguishers. However, there is an increase in the cost (from $19,878,208 to $19,888,538) for those employers who use an outside source for the inspection of portable fire extinguishers. This increase is a result of an administrative error in the previous ICR which indicated the average cost of the inspection to be $16.00 rather than $16.25.
