Abstract:
The information collected will be used by FRA to ensure that railroads/track owners adopt and implement bridge management programs as required by the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008 and this regulation in order to properly inspect, maintain, modify, and repair all bridges that carry trains over them for which they are responsible.

The burden for this information collection has increased by 108,200 hours from the NPRM submission. The increase in burden is the result of five (5) adjustments and two (2) program changes. **** Please the attached Supplementary Supporting document or the answer to question number 15 of the attached Supporting Justification for a complete itemization. The current OMB inventory for this information collection shows a total burden of 148,698 hours, while the present submission exhibits a total burden of 256,898 hours. Hence, there is a burden increase of 108,200 hours. There is no change in cost to respondents from the previous submission.
