Abstract:
The Federal Reserve would use the event-driven FR 3054a survey to obtain information specifically tailored to the Federal Reserves operational and fiscal agency responsibilities. The FR 3054b would be an annual survey to assess the quality of currency in circulation . The FR 3054c would be a semi-annual survey to determine depository institutions and Banknote Equipment Manufacturers opinions of currency quality. The FR 3054d would be an annual survey to assess the functionality of Federal Reserve notes in banknote handling equipment. Respondents would comprise depository institutions and Banknote Equipment Manufacturers. The content of the questions would depend on changing economic, regulatory, supervisory, or legislative developments.
