Abstract:
In the Third Report and Order and Second Order on Reconsideration in CC Docket No. 99-200, the Commission continues efforts to maximize the efficiency with which numbering resources in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) are utilized. Applications to state commission from carriers must demonstrate that certain requirements are met before states may grant use of the safety valve mechanism. State commissions seeking to implement service-specific and/or technology-specific area code overlays, must request delegated authority to do so.

Short Statement:
The total annual hourly burden has decreased by 30 hours, from 860 hours to 830 hours, as a result of the decrease in Annual Hour Burden per Respondent in the Request for Delegated Authority to Implement Service Specific and Technology Specific Area Code Overlays (SOs). Also, the total number of responses has increased by 15 due to data not being correctly entered into ROCIS with our last submission to OMB. The error is corrected with this submission.
