Abstract:
The Commission needs to collect, compile and maintain a list of counties, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) service areas, and specific parts for public safety awareness of areas where wireless carriers are unable to comply with requirements for location accuracy concerning the ability of PSAPs to determine the location of emergency wireless 911 calls. The Commission also needs to ensure that wireless carriers and third party systems service providers transport confidence and uncertainty data for he location of wireless E911 calls to PSAPs on a per-call basis upon a PSAP's request (two years after the effective date of the Second Report and Order, FCC 10-176. The Commission is submitting this non-substantive change request to inform OMB and the public that the filing for exclusion reports will be extended for filers.
