Abstract:
Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act requires insured depository institutions to obtain the FDIC's consent prior to any participation in their affairs by a person convicted of crimes involving dishonesty or breach of trust. Form 6710/07 is the vehicle for requesting FDIC consent.

The burden increase of 32 hours is the result of an adjustment of +128 hours to correct a previous error in reporting on the number of respondents and an adjustment of -96 hours to reflect an anticipated decrease in the number of applications filed as the result of clarification of the de minimis provisions of the Section 19 Statement of Policy slight.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
