To determine regulatory compliance, there is a need for airmen to maintain records of certain training and recency of experience; training center has to maintain records of student's training, employee qualification and training, and training program approvals.

Whereas the number of training centers has not changed significantly, the number of certificates has decreased due to Flight Safety and CAE both combining all of their centers under one certificate and the remaining centers are now designated as satellites.
