Abstract:
The Commission adopted and released a Report and Order, FCC 02-78, March 2002, which provides presumptive streamlining categories, allows for joint applications for international and domestic transfers of control, clarifies confusion about content of applications, provides timelines for streamlined transaction review, provides a pro forma transaction process, allows asset acquisitions to be treated as transfers of control and deletes obsolete sections of the Commission's rules. The information will be used to ensure that applicants comply with the requirements of 47 U.S.C. Section 214.

Short Statement:
The Commission is submitting this information collection to the OMB for an extension under delegated authority. The Commission also notes that the hourly burden increased by 72 hours because the number of respondents/responses increased to 92. The increase in annual costs is due to an increase in the filing fee amount ($1,015 per application). Therefore, the Commission is reporting a $10,040 increase adjustment to our cost estimate submitted and approved by OMB in 2008.
Annual Cost to Federal Government:
$459,000
