Short Statement: OCC is citing an increase in the burden due to an increase in the number of respondents as a result of implementing the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, P.L. 111-203, 124 Stat 1376 (2010). The OCC uses the information collected to meet its statutory obligations to adopt and implement a risk-based capital requirement, determine the qualification of a bank for application of the rule, and assess the adequacy of a qualifying bank's risk-based capital. 12 U.S.C. §§ 93a, 161, 3907-3909.
