Form SSA-1383 is used by Social Security student beneficiaries to report events or changes that may affect continuing entitlement to these benefits. The respondents are Social Security student beneficiaries or their representatives. We are submitting a non-substantive change request.

There are no changes to the public reporting burden. Previously we did not split the burden for each form into two ICs. However, since different respondents use the SSA-1383 than use the SSA-1383-FC, we corrected this oversight in this Information Collection Request.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
(a) It is necessary for the proper performance of agency functions;
