Short Statement: Debt Management Center continues to experience a surge in compensation and pension debts as well as education debts. We believe the increase in compensation and pension debts is attributable to the effectiveness of the three pension centers in the Veterans Benefits Administration as well as the increased level of full-time employees working in veterans service centers. We believe the increase in education debts is directly related to the 9/11 GI education program. Accordingly, we have adjusted the expected level of waiver requests, offers of compromise and applications for payment plans proportionately with the recent increase of newly established debt.
