Abstract:
The results of Medicare reviews, Medicare accreditation surveys, and Medicaid external quality reviews will be used by States in assessing the quality of care provided to Medicaid beneficiaries provided by managed care organizations and to provide information on the quality of the care provided to the general public upon request.

Burden changes attributable to the CHIPRA changes will result in roughly 178,140 additional hours. Adjustments have been made to account for mathematical errors in regard to the number of respondents, the type of respondents, annual responses, and annual hour burden. Protocols have been revised as documented in this package's Crosswalk. Some of those changes are explained in this package's Response to Comments. The net burden change from these revisions is zero.
