Abstract:
United States (U.S.) vessels fishing for highly migratory species in the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries (WCPF) Convention Area (excepting U.S. waters) are required to submit to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Service information about the vessels and related information. The information is used by NOAA and the WCPF Commission to ensure compliance with conservation and management measures, and is needed in order for the U.S. to comply with its obligations under the WCPF Convention.
