Abstract:
The American Time Use Survey (ATUS) is the Nation's first federally administered, continuous survey on time use in the United States. It measures, for example, time spent with children, working, sleeping, or doing leisure activities. The Well-being Module questions will be asked immediately after the ATUS and will follow up on some of the information ATUS respondents provide in their time diary. The Well-being Module will collect information about how people experience their time, specifically how happy, tired, sad, stressed, and in pain they felt yesterday.

The estimated respondent burden has increased to capture the beginning of collection for another round of the Well-being Module in 2013. The estimated burden for the entire year will be approximately 1,067 hours, identical to that of the 2012 WB module. An additional 533 burden hours have been included in this request to cover collection until the end of June 2013. The remaining burden will be included in the full information collection request to follow.
