Abstract:
The accreditation of commercial testing laboratories; approval of commercial gaugers are used by individuals or businesses desiring CBP approval to measure bulk products or analyze importations may apply to CBP by letter. This approval is required of businesses wishing to perform such work on imported merchandise.

CBP lowered the number of responses to from 200 annually to 100 because it was determined that this is a more realistic estimate. As a result, the burden hours associated with this collection were reduced from 450 to 225. There are no changes to the information collected.
