Short Statement: The annual numbers of delinquent, defaulted and foreclosed mortgage loans in the industry have increased significantly since the last PRA information collection report submitted under OMB Number 2502-0595. These increases are generally related to the state of the economy, and the state of the housing market, in particular the portfolio of delinquent, defaulted and foreclosed FHA-insured mortgages in the interim from 2010-2013. During that time, approximately the same number of servicers provides the information collected annually by the forms in this package, but for a much larger number of mortgages. The result is an increase in the total annual burden hours and an increase in the total annual costs to respondents.
