Terms of Clearance: OMB appreciates OJJDP's efforts to collaborate with other agencies with related responsibilities and interests. Before submitting this collection in the future, OJJDP should coordinate with BJS, particularly in light of BJS’s recent work with the National Center for Health Statistics to study prison and jail provision of health, mental health and substance abuse services, to ensure maximum comparability and consistency between collections. Second, OMB encourages BJS and OJJDP to continue discussion and collaboration with the National Center for Education Statistics, with whom BJS shares two collections, to minimize overlap and increase comparability between this collection and Education’s K-12 institutional data collections.
