Abstract:
The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act governs the regulation of gaming on Indian lands. IGRA created the National Indian Gaming Commission to carry out the Act's goals. This collection allows NIGC to perform its statutory duties.

Short Statement:
The Commission did not previously include the burden estimates for certain recordkeeping functions, as it previously considered them customary and usual business practices. However, the Commission has now decided to include these recordkeeping and administrative functions because while most gaming operations would probably maintain certain of these records, it is possible that not every operation would do so according to the standards set forth in the NIGC regulations. In addition, since 2008 when these burden estimates were first formulated, the gross Indian gaming revenues in the U.S. have increased by approximately $1.2 billion. This growth in the Indian gaming industry could also account for the dramatic increase in the burden hour and cost estimates
