Short Statement: In an effort to streamline collections, PHMSA is revising this collection to account for the burden associated with the collection of abandoned underwater pipeline reports currently covered under OMB Control No. 2137-0601. Both collections target owners and operators of underwater pipelines. Due to the similarities in scope and the minimal overall burden imposed by both collections, PHMSA believes this adjustment to be both efficient and appropriate. Upon approval of this consolidated package, PHMSA plans to request the discontinuance of the collection under 2317-0601.
